Our online inventory management system ensures that you have up-to-the-minute status information about your inventory. This service is included free-of-charge and allows customers to order, release and monitor the status of materials. The red/yellow/green system provides simple color coding to let you plan material ordering. Green indicates material is sufficient for current processing needs; yellow indicates that material will need to be ordered in less than three weeks; and red indicates that material is needed now. Using this system, a top three automotive manufacturer experienced such significant savings in time and effort that they now require RYG reporting from all of their vendors.
RSDC makes exceptional customer service a priority. We provide JIT shipping within 24 hours of release. Our flexible hours of operation with 24/7 customer support ensure that we are available when you need us. Furthermore, we provide predictive and preventative maintenance for customer-supplied tools.
To ensure that we provide the highest quality service and goods to our customers, RSDC implements continuous improvement processes and best practices policies. Our ISO TS16949 and 14001 certifications ensure that we are continuously improving our processes to minimize defects, reduce variation and waste, and minimize negative impact on the environment. Our safety policies have resulted in an overall incident rate 20% lower than the industry standard and a DART (Days Away, Restricted or Transferred) rate 42% lower than the industry standard.
RSDC believes in supporting our local community. We support many location charities through donations, including the Capital Area United Way, the local public school district, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Company History
RSDC was founded in 1998 in Holt, Michigan. Initially supporting the automotive industry exclusively, RSDC was the primary steel processor for one of America’s top three auto makers. During that time, RSDC launched over 50 vehicle platforms and developed the online inventory management system that has set a standard for industry reporting requirements. Later expanding to other industries, RSDC has over a decade of satisfied customers.
Mission Statement
RSDC’s commitment is to exceed our customer’s expectations for quality products and environmental compliance by supplying defect free products on time. We accomplish this with our world class facility, decentralized decision making and the continual improvement of our products, processes and the environment.
